GREENPROOFING is like eco-babyproofing (though having kids is not required for the service). I’ve done it in my own New York City home, written about it, and spoken about it. It’s the process of identifying areas of your living space where simple changes can reduce and minimize exposure to potentially harmful substances.

The specifics depend on the client’s needs. An in-depth nursery set-up consultation is ideal for expecting parents. A comprehensive house-wide consultation involves methodically going room by room, showing where easy/safer/greener choices and changes can be made, from carpets to furniture to cleaning products to face cream to food to toys and everything in between.
